Cadillac has been consistently pushing the envelope and adding innovations to its luxury vehicles. Continuing to be at the forefront of changes in the automotive industry, Cadillac recently announced ambitious plans to work towards providing consumers with potentially an all-electric lineup by the year 2030.

Making Real Progress

The automaker has hinted at its intention to develop electric models in the past, including showcasing a concept for a midsize electric SUV in 2019. The most recent announcement, however, is far more concrete.

You can expect to see the introduction of a compact electric SUV in the Chinese market in 2022, with a similar model to follow in the United States in 2023. Cadillac is also set to release a refreshed lineup of its gasoline-powered models within the decade.

Electric Luxury & High Performance

The ultimate goal of Cadillac president Steve Carlisle is to produce electric luxury vehicles with a driving range of 400 miles and a charging time of just a few minutes. He also indicated that more models may be available with the advanced Super Cruise™ driver assistance system.
