Oil keeps your vehicle’s engine running smoothly and efficiently. It’s a good idea to check the oil level and quality at least once per month, and bring your vehicle in for an oil change about every six months. However, this can vary between models, so check the owner’s manual for more details.
Without coolant, your vehicle will overheat — potentially causing permanent engine damage. When your car is completely cool and hasn’t been running, check the coolant levels by removing the radiator cap. It’s a good idea to check coolant levels before summer and winter, and top off the coolant as needed.
Without transmission fluid, your vehicle won’t be able to change gears properly, potentially resulting in permanent transmission damage. Prevent this from happening by checking the levels monthly and replacing it every 50,000 miles, or as directed by the owner’s manual.
Brake fluid provides the hydraulic stopping power you need to stay safe on the road. Make sure your car’s brake system can do its job by giving this fluid a checkup at every oil change. Keep it fresh by having it replaced every two years.
Power steering fluid
Without sufficient power steering fluid, your vehicle will exhibit creaky, difficult steering with popping noises. Give yourself a better, safer driving experience by inspecting this fluid monthly and replacing in as directed by the vehicle owner’s manual.
Since the brand’s inception 120 years ago, Cadillac has been synonymous with style, innovation, and luxury. Here’s how this legendary automaker is celebrating this landmark anniversary.
A legacy of innovation.
Cadillac made a splash by being the first brand to introduce a mass-produced V8 engine, bringing the thrill of high-performance driving to motorists across the country. The brand also made waves with its Cadillac V16, which lived up to its name by being the first-ever V16-powered production passenger car. As the years went by, Cadillac blazed new trails with technological feats like the HydraMatic fully automatic transmission and the recent introduction of Super Cruise™ hands-free driving technology.
The models that define Cadillac.
To commemorate the brand’s 120th anniversary, Cadillac executives Michael Simcoe and Bryan Nesbitt put the spotlight on 12 of the nameplate’s landmark vehicles. These legendary models include the 1927 LaSalle, designed by industry leader Harley Earl, along with the classic 1959 Eldorado. In the modern era, the execs highlighted the CTS-V Coupe and Wagon, as well as the stunning CELESTIQ EV.
Over the past twelve decades, it’s evident that Cadillac has led the way with trend-setting designs and industry milestones. If you’re interested in a cutting-edge model with top-of-the-line luxury, check out our inventory at Bud Weiser Motors in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Cadillac recently revealed the stunning new CELESTIQ show car. This innovative model gives drivers a glimpse into the brand’s all-electric future — the future has never looked brighter.
Although the CELESTIQ is still in development, it already demonstrates the purest expression of Cadillac. Its design draws inspiration from vanguards of classic American architecture, including Eero Saarinen, the mind behind the iconic St. Louis Arch, the TWA Flight Center at the JFK Airport, and Washington Dulles International Airport.
Laetitia Lopez, a creative designer for Cadillac Color and Trim, explained that the CELESTIQ embodies both form and function. “We had to reconsider all aspects to immerse the customer, all of their senses, and create a connection with the vehicle through the finest genuine materials, exceptional detailing, and advanced technology,” she stated in a press release.
Some of the most exciting aspects of this model include its industry-first features. The variable-transmission Smart Glass Roof lets you fine-tune the amount of light let into the cabin. Plus, it features Ultra Cruise, the next step in the evolution of the Super Cruise™ hands-free driving technology found on other Cadillac models.

The very first production model of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V raised money for a good cause. The athletic SUV sold for $500,000 at the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction — and the proceeds benefitted the Pensole Lewis College of Business & Design. On top of that, a generous patron at the event donated an additional $25,000.
Raising money for tomorrow’s innovators.
The Pensole Lewis College of Business & Design holds the honor of being Michigan’s only historically Black college. The school is famous for providing educational opportunities for creative students in fields ranging from STEM and sustainability to business development and the graphic arts.
Global Cadillac Vice President Rory Harvey explained that the brand upholds ambition and dreaming big, so sponsoring the Pensole Lewis College of Business & Design is a natural fit. “We are grateful to Barrett-Jackson for providing a platform that will help make a difference for the next generation of creatives in Cadillac’s hometown of Detroit,” he further stated.
The Cadillac auction’s winning bidder won’t just get the first 2023 Escalade-V. They will also have the chance to design a sweet pair of shoes with popular footwear designer Dr. D’Wayne Edwards. Dr. Edwards is more than a high-profile designer — he also re-established the Pensole Lewis College of Business & Design 2021.

Everything about the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V is designed to turn heads wherever you go. Recently, it was revealed that this stylish flagship SUV will be available in five distinct exterior color options — Radiant Red Tintcoat, Argent Silver Metallic, Black Raven, Crystal White Tricoat, and Dark Emerald Metallic.
These attractive colors aren’t the only outstanding part of this super-powerful SUV. The Escalade-V takes its power from a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine that unleashes 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft of torque. This dynamo pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission that provides smooth shifting and responsive performance. Thanks to this dynamic duo, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V can rocket from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds, as well as cover a quarter-mile in 12.74 seconds, cruising at a speed of 110 mph.
Like other V-series models, this SUV is loaded with top-of-the-line features including quad exhaust outlets, six-piston Brembo® front brakes, Edge Red brake calipers, unique 22-inch aluminum wheels, V-series badging, Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension.
When you drive a top-of-the-line model — like a Cadillac — you want to maintain its value and performance. Regular oil changes are an essential part of keeping your vehicle in tip-top condition. Here’s a look at how this easily overlooked service benefits your vehicle.
Benefits of regular oil changes.
Oil changes keep your vehicle’s engine running smoothly. Clean oil prevents the engine from overheating by reducing friction. On top of that, fresh oil ensures that your car delivers optimal performance and efficiency. There’s also a flip side to this — neglecting oil changes can lead to severe consequences for your vehicle. It can even lead to costly and permanent damage, like a seized or overheated engine.
How often to get an oil change.
While it’s always a good idea to consult your vehicle owner’s manual for a recommended service interval, you should also monitor your car’s oil regularly. Experts recommend checking your vehicle’s oil at least monthly. Note the oil level and quality. If it looks dark or gritty, it’s time for an oil change. You can also be notified when your car needs maintenance with the MyCadillac mobile app. It even lets you schedule a service visit at Bud Weiser Motors when it is time for an oil change.
This year marks 120 years of Cadillac — and to celebrate, the luxury automaker has released the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing 120th Anniversary Edition. Only 120 units of this exclusive model will be made, and each will bear a commemorative VIN that represents a year in the brand’s history, from 1902 to 2022.
These special-edition models will also stand apart from the crowd thanks to their unique sill plates, emblazoned with the Cadillac Crest design. The vehicle’s steering wheel plate, shifter medallion, and the B-pillar builders’ plate also bear exclusive commemorative designs. Every model sold also comes with a certificate of authenticity and an invitation to the Spring Mountain V-Performance Academy, so you can learn how to get the most out of your V-series Cadillac.
The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing holds the honor of being the fastest and most powerful Cadillac production model ever. It boasts a top track speed of over 200 mph. Cadillac is synonymous with quality and luxury — so it’s no surprise that the brand took one of the top spots in the J.D. Power 2022 U.S. Customer Service Index Study. In this study, the J.D. Power experts ranked automakers based on customer satisfaction in regard to the brand’s auto repair service. Using data from drivers with one-to-three-year-old vehicles, the survey found that Cadillac was among the highest-ranked premium brands.
In the study, customers shared their thoughts on their car’s automaker’s performance across five categories: service facilities, service initiation, vehicle pick up services, service advisors, and service quality. And for the latest iteration of the survey, J.D. Power inquired about the convenience of each brand’s contactless services, such as valets, remote vehicle services, and app-based payment availability.
With these criteria considered, Cadillac scored a whopping 880 out of 1,000 possible points. With a score like that, the brand earned the second-highest spot in the study, outpacing luxury rivals like Audi, Porsche, and BMW.
Never content to rest on its laurels, Cadillac is looking to keep improving its customer experience. The brand is currently gearing up to service electric models like the upcoming Cadillac LYRIQ. If you’re looking to experience the best customer service in Beloit, Wisconsin, bring your Cadillac to Bud Weiser Motors for repairs and maintenance.
